Hello again, friends. We are happy to announce three upcoming shows in December:
After a whole year of quarantine and Facebook live performances, it was nice to hit the stage at O'Riley's. The crowd was thick and the band was tight - what more could a music fan want?
We are a fully vaccinated and innoculated band, ready to rip your heads off in the most covid-safe way imaginable. It's nice to know that, although we are a truly Dangerous Experiment, we take the global pandemic seriously. Our danger is strictly of the musical, non-virulent variety.
We now turn our attention to booking shows for the 2021 post-pandemic performance year. We play a variety of original music, improvised music, and cover songs. You'll surely appreciate what we have to offer.
We're booked to play an excited bill on Friday, December 20th at O'Riley's in Dallas. John's solo performance, The Beat Scene, will be opening, and it is not to be missed. Thereafter, we'll take the stage for another hard-hitting performance from the full trio.
Our brief hiatus from the live scene has enabled us to sharpen our chops a bit, as well as add a few new performance pieces. If you've been hungry for some new music from The Dangerous Experiment, have we got a meal for you.
In other news, we've started work on our debut album. More details to follow soon. And we're booking shows for the Autumn season, so if you haven't yet gotten your fill of The Dangerous Experiment, you soon shall have it.
First, we now have an EPK. Every great up-and-coming band has an EPK, and now we do, too. Cruise on over to the EPK page to see what you're missing.
Second, we had the opportunity to play a pair of shows last month at the always-exciting Diamond Jim's Saloon. To our great pleasure, we opened for Day of Reckoning, featuring the legendary Rusty Cooley on guitar and awesomeness, as well as Brad Lambert, who is one of the finest rock vocalists in Texas rock. Make sure you check them out if you have the opportunity to do so. They are great!
As a reminder, we have this blurb over on our Shows and Events page (emphasis added):
The Dangerous Experiment is ready on short notice to play your event, and in our view, every occasion is a good occasion for instrumental progressive rock and improv.
